Spam Faxes, telemarketers, and the Do Not Call List

What a crock of shit!! I mean, this is getting unreal.

I have the Panasonic KX-TGA9xxx cordless phones. These phones have a "Night Mode" feature on them. (you choose the times when the phones won't ring - Like between 10 pm, and say 8 am)

So I have mine set on this night feature. Nothing will ring thru - Not even phone numbers on my contact list.

Last night at about 5:48 am, a phone call comes thru. THE FUCKIN' THING IS ON NIGHT MODE, HOW THE FUCK DOES THAT SHIT HAPPEN??

I also have call display, and it comes up unavailable number (Nice...) and of course it's a spam fax.

Now what the hell did they use to force my phone to ring while it's on night mode???

I mean, this is a residence number. There isn't any fax machine here, or a computer hooked up to get faxes, or anything... IT'S A FUCKIN' HOUSE NUMBER!!

Yes, they are bugging the Livin' shit outta me, but really, there isn't a machine to receive them.

Now, Telus (the future is friendly my ass! More like - The Future is Greedy) started this whole problem. I set my computer to fax an important document from this number, and then the faxes started pouring in. Then when I first complained, the first thing those assholes at Telus have the nerve to ask me is, Have I faxed anything from my home.

I figure those bastards put me on some sort of list, and sold it, to all those spam Faxing places that overload companies with crap, spam faxes.

Then, when I dump Telus, some sales asshole calls me and says if I come back, they can stop the spam faxes.

WTF!!!

To me, this is what the Mob does, and they call it 'Protection Money'. If you don't pay, we will beat up, so you gotta pay and then, we won't beat you up - Sounds similar to what Telus offered me.

Here's Telus: ...Well, we screwed you and sold yer number so you get hit with faxes (which was our fault) but if you don't come back and keep paying us money, we won't fix the problem that we caused... EVEN THOUGH, the whole year you complained about the faxes, we wouldn't fix it WHILE you were paying us.

They must be making a ton of money for selling us out.

Then the CRTC offers a Do No Call list, even though the last 'do not call list' didn't work, but it's not their fault.

But this one will work... So they Promised - read it here.

Just recently, it was discovered that this list can be accessed by the Telemarketers themselves!! Nice job there CRTC...

Here's an article I found about it.

I think we need a class-action lawsuit against the CRTC, and Telus. Anyone up for that?!?
