What a game!!

Those girls played hockey like I've never seen before. The americans, 35 straight wins, and the Canadians, 8 losses went head-to-head for the gold metal. Canada in the end winning 3-2 in an unbelievable battle.

13 power plays (all of those in favor of the U.S.), 2 of 'em were a 3 on 5 and they still won. The americans practically crying getting silver. Did you watch their faces when they were being awarded the SILVER medals?!? They looked like they were grumbling under their breath. They were almost angry. In all the time I've watched the Olympics never have I seen anyone pissed off getting the silver. Even with our figure skaters getting ripped-off with corrupt judging and totally unfair ruling, proved themselves to be true to Canada by impressive sportsmen-like conduct and were proud to even be on the podium.

How about our flag being on the floor of their dressing room. BS or not, if that was the Canadians, there would be hell to pay. Oh yeah, that's OK for the U.S. to do it, but if any other country did that to the stars and stripes, the americans would be rioting in the streets. I think they should take a wiff of what they're shoveling.

Speaking of totally unfair. Who's idea was it to have an AMERICAN referee?!? There shouldn't have been a ref from either country calling the game. Even with that little snot calling everything she could, we still beat 'em.

Corruption in the games is nothing but it still surprises me. Honor and fair play is long gone and it's been replaced by money and unfair judging and the like. I do believe even the bid to have the games in Salt Lake city was in favor of some bribing.

I guess it just all boils down to who's got the deepest pockets.

Our girls didn't let us down though, if they only got bronze or even if they didn't make the finals I'd still be proud of them. They played fair and with great sportsmen like conduct, and that to me is worth the gold.
