Yes, you heard correctly. The Flying Islands of Jasonia is a chain of flying islands! You may wonder about this, but it makes perfect sense if you think about it. I will go over the advantages of being a citizen.
 

•     Naturally, flying islands won't have any border disputes, since the edge of the island is the edge of the borders. No other country can have territory on a flying island, and no flying island can have territory on the ground. Since we now have earthbound lands, this might be an issue, but most of them are isolated islands anyway.
•     Flying islands are quite a bit more difficult to assault. Unlike ground countries, no troops can spill over from a neighbor or the ocean simply because these do not EXIST in the sky! Aircraft can move less people then land or sea transportation and are more expensive. The citizens of the island can live in peace with little fear of attack.
•     Although we believe highly in peace, we keep a trained air force to protect the central island and our provinces and colonies. We also keep a small but efficient navy to additional protection on our earthbound lands.
•     The island would have it's own ecosystem apart from the ground. The animals and plants would be controlled by the population alone, so we will be sure to keep them healthy and abundant. We would be apart from pollution of other countries, aside from air.
•     Since none of these micronations actually hold real claims to Terran lands (although they say they do, but no macronation supports them) it doesn't really matter what our nation looks like. We aren't trying to take over the Earth, so why can't we have some fun with our terrain?
•     Finally, the view would be so darn cool. :-)

So yes, flying islands. It may sound weird, but there's a lot going for it! Now, if only science would agree...

The FIoJ is not a joke nation. If you think flying islands are absurd, then we ask you to look at yourselves. How many other nations have maps of their territory? Quite a few. And very few of those maps exist on Earth. How many nation have capitals, or cities, or military units such as soldiers, naval combat ships, or air force wings? Again, many. And they don't exist either.

I'm not out to offend anyone. I'm out to prove that if you don't really have cities and armies and the like, and that's ok with you, then the FIoJ can fly, and that should be ok too.
