FIoJ Museum
FIoJ's Hidden History
Knowing much
about the history of the FIoJ, this room surprised the AIN scouting team.
The room had several file cabinets, each filled with papers about projects
that never saw the light of day and history that has been buried so deep,
only a handful of people know about it. Despite the fact that this information
may get people into trouble, this information had been moved from the vault
to the public museum...
Before the Enlightenment
The FIoJ was not really designed to be an independent nation. Born during the early days of the AFTP Communist Revolution, Jasonian had once again failed to keep the nation peaceful with diplomacy. He realized that something would need to change. While playing Chrono Trigger, a SNES game, Jasonian was captivated by the concept of flying islands and decided to use them in his plan to save the AFTP.
The first FIoJ was going to be a neutral negotiation ground, similar to what the Apollo Confederacy became a few days later. However, this idea was immediately shot down by both parties involved in the revolution, as they didn't really want to negotiate but to crush each other.
The second FIoJ was designed like a complex union of nations. Each nation would have a section of it's land hoisted into the sky as it's representative to the union. The flying islands would circle a central mountain, which would overlook and protect the islands, and also be the site of any diplomatic meetings. This idea was debated with several of the leaders of micronations, but ultimately declined as too strange.
The third (and final) prototype idea was basically a complex refugee camp where people could claim sanctuary if their nations were involved in war. The whole thing would be run under controlled anarchy, with the only laws preventing the total destruction of the islands. Tired of having his ideas rejected, Jasonian built a simple web site and forums for this purpose. Again, it was criticized as being too odd, but Jasonian didn't back down this time.
The first people to arrive
were not refugees, but people looking for a sovereign micronation. The
Flying Islands found themselves being pushed toward becoming an actual
nation with their own principles and laws. Jasonian was actually surprised
at this, but he conceded and let the islands become their own nation.
The Omen-Class Gravship
Eventually realizing that the FIoJ was going to need some sort of way to defend itself, Jasonian designed the Omen-Class Gravship, a huge black aircraft that was nearly invincible. This would ensure that the FIoJ would win any time of "map war."
Unfortunately, this went very much against FIoJ policy, so Jasonian starting coming up with idea of where to hide the darn thing until it was needed...
Eager to continue, the AIN team found the remaining cabinets are locked. Whoever opened up this information is apparently not willing to let it all out at once. The team vowed to return later on, to see what additional classified information could be uncovered...
