Question and Answer Interview from the Douglas O'Keeffe Online Message Board October 3, 2001 Continued |
9. From *me* Losing a parent can have a very profound affect on one's life and the way it is viewed. Has the loss of your father changed the way you approach your own life or has your philosophy remained constant? 9. You...Yes. yes. The loss or should I say the passing of my father has affected and does affect me in many profound ways, and has affected both my philosophy and my spirituality. I guess both are very much intertwined. My faith in God and the perfection of the universe has only increased as a result of the many things I have witnessed since my Dad's death though not necessairly because of that event alone. My thoughts on most things change everday, sometimes it seems to be a positive evolution, sometimes ideas go round in circles and sometimes I can quiet the thoughts and just enjoy the miracles that are right in front of my nose. 10. From CelineDeux Will you be in any of the WITCHBLADE episodes next season? Since it's filmed in Canada and we've seen a few LFN guests on Witchblade, maybe we'll see you too? 10. Celine...until you question, I don't believe I had heard of the television show WITCHBLADE. I'm not sure if they have heard of me either. But if it's good, I'd be into it. 11. From LicketyBoo What was it like to work with Peta, and also what is Jessica Alba is like? 11. LicketyBoo...Working with Peta (**Peta Wilson on La Femme Nikita) was about as far away from work as you can get. She is a multi-faceted gem and a friend. She is an enigma and she is simple all at once. I think she is a great person and I will always remember the time with her as fun and extremely interesting and stimulating. She is all that is Nikita and more. Jessica Alba is a prepared, tough, capable and strong individual. Both hard and soft. I liked working with her a lot too. 12. From Jayne :) I'd love to hear your experiences of participating in the World Cup in the bobsled events. What can you share? Did you always want to be a competation-caliber athlete? 12. Jayne...Bobsledding was a very interesting activity. It was cold too. I wanted to experience it and I wanted to travel the world so I tried out for the team. The people were great that I met through the experience and in general when I look back on the time it was filled with a bunch of funny stories. In retrospect, competetive sports, which were a large focus in my life, allowed me a way to express and experience mastery or a way to attempt to experience mastery. I can't say I ever really did feel I was a master at anything except trying. When I see anyone struggling to do anything better, I feel a comradry with them. It's like we are all on earth trying to get better...at whatever. It's fun if we let it be. I love all kinds of sports to this day (surfing, golf, hockey, rollerblading...) and dearly love the physical expression we are allowed in the human experience. 13. From Jayne :) Do you play a musical instrument, or enjoy singing? 13. Jayne... I play the keyboard a little and compose with a sequencer. As far as singing is concerned, I like doing it more than I think people like listening to it. Therefore, it is usually car-based with stereo-original-artist-accompanyment. |
