CLASSIC PHOTO SCENE OF MUAR DISTRICT IN 1890 TO 1967.

The first mosque, Masjid Jamek Muar was built in 1890.
The new mosque, Masjid Jamek was then built in 1925. It was built on the same place as the old mosque. It is still being used now by Muslims in Muar.
Muar used ferry services across Muar river, connecting Tangga Batu to Tanjung Agas since 1884. This photo was taken in 1967 during the construction work of the Muar bridge were nearing completion.
The Muar's Sultan Ismail Bridge replaced the ferry service. This bridge was officially opened in 15th April 1967. It is being used until today.
Then...Sekolah Kebangsaan Bandar Maharani Muar (Bandar Maharani Muar School) in Jalan Arab was opened in 1886.
Now...The school have been converted into Pejabat Pendidikan Muar (Muar Education Office)
