"People Who Make a Difference"

A biography unit

by

Mrs. Baker's Second Grade Class

During this unit students read a biography from our library to learn about the people who make a difference in the world.  They researched important facts and recorded the facts on a database.

Then students created a timeline, drew a sketch of the person, and wrote a bio-poem about the person.

A wax museum atmosphere was created as a culminating activity.  Students dressed as their famous person and gave a short speech about the person's life.  Parents and other classes visited our museum!
