    Your web page seems awfully shy for a Lawyers. I would just like to say how much I like your web page. I am 26 years old and have been a pretty fervent Marxist since the age of 10 when I fist saw Animal Crackers. My favorite Marx Brothers film is a toss up between Duck Soup and Horse Feathers. While most regard Duck Soup as their best film I have always felt that Horse Feathers is equally as funny. Have you read the Marx Brothers Encyclopedia? It was published last year in Britain and contains a wealth of info regarding the Marxs and their movies. Especially interesting, were the sections devoted to the stage versions of Cocoanuts and Animal Crackers and how they differed from the film versions. A lot of attention is also given to many scenes that were shot but later deleted from their movies. Its a shame to think how many other "classic" Marx routines were scrapped from their movies simply to accomodate those turgid romance subplots and trite musical numbers. Anyhow its nice to see that there's still a good many people out there who remember these undisputed geniuses of comedy. Their humor had sophistication, subtlety, and an uninhibitedness that has never been matched before or since.They are definitely a breath of fresh air to the stagnant sitcom humor that permeates this largely humorless and politically correct age we live in.

    Wonderful site. I love the Marx Brothers, and if ever I'm feeling down, just a look at a picture of any of them (even Zeppo) cheers me up. Have you read 'Groucho, Harpo, Chico and sometimes Zeppo' by Joe Adamson? It's the greatest book on the Marxes I've ever read (and that includes the wonderful 'Harpo Speaks'), and may not be in print any longer, it was originally published in 1973 by W.H.Allen. Its ISBN is : 0 340 18807 3. Greatest Marx, its a tough call, but Chico always made me roar. I particularly love the dialogue in 'Duck Soup' in which Chicolini gives a report on his spying activities : Chico: Alright, I tell you. Monday we watch-a Firefly's house, but he no come out. He wasn't home. Tuesday we go to the ball game, but he fool us, he no show up. Wednesday he go to the ball game, and we fool him. We no show up. Thursday was a double header. Nobody show up. Friday it rained all day. There was no ball game so we stayed home and listened to it over the radio. Trentino: Then you didn't shadow Firefly? Chico: Oh, sure, we shadow Firefly. We shadow him all day. Trentino: But what day was that? Chico: Shadowday! Hahaha. Atsa some joke, eh Boss?
