Oscar Turner
Oscar Turner served in the Kentucky State senate from 1867-1871, and in the House of Representatives for the 1st district of Kentucky from 1879-1885.This memorial stood in front of the Carnegie Library at 9th and Broadway from 1915 to 1970, when the building was destroyed by a fire. The memorial was dismantled and stored on the property of Judge David R. Reed. Later Dr. Ronald Kelley owned the property and in 1994 donated the stones to the city of Paducah. Memorial was reassembled in 1994.
