For Every Hero - by Jackie Lombardo
For the smell of the morning dew,
Let us all remember the day of new
For the effort to succeed,
Here plants another seed,
For let us not lose our dignity
Instead give strength for formality.
For the hopes within their heart
To never tear apart,

For the challenges let them fight their way.
Wherever they may lead, that they look upon today.
For the tragedy of the scene,
What's done left unclean.
For the veterans who lost their life,
Now their loved ones take the strife.

For to hide their feelings locked in a cage,
Not aloud to come out with anger or rage.
For to stand in line and wait to depart,
Shall not get off with a bad start.
For to strike the flesh without a cause,
Don't ever stop to take a pause.

For men who brawl within the night,
Don't turn out the fragile light.
For sunny days they might have cherished
To see these times left to perish.
For the ones they love to worry or fret,
What would for home they'd rather set.

For the howl of justice for human right,
Thrashing to hold on to their might.
For the times when all they did was pray,
Hoping that the war will give way.
For all those veterans who fought in the war,
God bless you all, for now you can soar.
