Seattle, Washington Concert Review
By Geff Ratcheson

Hi JD - sorry it took so long on this.

The show was great, it was the most animated I've seen Fee in years. The vocal harmonies were especially good. The majority of the show focused on Completion Backwards & Outside Inside, but they played songs from everything except Young & Rich and Now.

I was surprised to hear Piece By Piece & I Was A Punk Before You Were A Punk. I don't remember hearing those live in awhile. They opened with What Do You Want From Life, & closed with WhitePunks/Talk To You Later.

There was a Roger Steen vocal I didn't recognize, probably from Genius which I'm not to familiar with. Much of the crowd seemed familiar with the A&M material, which surprised me. They were very well received. I would estimate the crowd at 400-500. The band played just short of 2 hours. I assume they do a similar show everywhere. If that's not the case, I could come up with most of the songs.

Fee did a long rap on Henry Hyde during Mr. Hate, which was unfortunately hard to understand where I was standing.

My only criticism is that something didn't seem quite right with Prairie. I had read that he was on the Starship tour, and as the back of the stage was poorly lit, I thought until near the end that he was a new drummer. Both Rick & Roger appeared to be cueing him, & while his playing wasn't awful, it wasn't even close to his usual standards. That's my only criticism, it was the best I've seen them in years. I have seen most of their Washington shows since the 1976 Now tour.
