Biographical Sketch

My name is Jean Boyle. I was born and raised in Bremerton, Washington. My father was a dentist and my mother a homemaker. I have two sisters and one brother and we remain close to this day. I attended public schools in Bremerton, graduating in 1970 from West High School.

I am married to my husband of 20 years. During that time we have lived in Monterey and the San Francisco Bay area while my husband was in the Navy, before moving back to Washington in 1987. We have four children. Two boys, and the two girls we adopted from Romania when they were nine years old.

I have worked at the Veterans Home for the last 14 years as a Nurse Attendant I. This has been a wonderful experience that kindled my interest in Human Services. While working for my bachelor's degree I worked and interned at the Washington Veterans Home at Retsil, Washington.
