RE: Letter of Recommendation for Jean Boyle
To Whom It May Concern:
Jean Boyle completed several quarters of an Internship for Western Washington University's Human Services Department in the Child Protection Unit of the Bremerton Office. The average amount of time during the week for the Internship was eight hours. As such, she had to understand a diverse and complex system within a short time frame. The Internship experience had limitations because of the short timeframes.
Jean has been conscientious with her work as an Intern. She was courteous and respectful to staff and clients alike. She was punctual and also on several occasions volunteered to come in early or stay late to complete a particular assignment.
Jean was able to work with at least one family on a regular and continual basis by supervising their visits with the child. Jean documented interactions between the parents and child and also gave her impressions of how the visits were progressing. Jean's documentation skills improved with the practice. The social workers reported that she did good recording with good detail.
Jean is reliable and followed through on her responsibilities. She was willing to go into the field with the social workers and on one occasion, on her own. She also followed through to accomplish her goals for the Internship and to discuss what other areas would enable her to have a wider prospective. She made sure to coordinate the contact between the Field Instructor and her University Instructor, which facilitated and enhanced the internship process.
I favorably recommend Jean for continued work in the Human Services Field.
