This wing should be agile,
well-behaved and highly-performant[i]
as well as being relatively easy to build very strongly.
The center section is 59”
"plank" and the tips are 30.5 inches.
The trailing edge of the tip
is raked forward to improve handling and has been kept straight to simplify
aileron construction. It was kept
straight during the optimization process by hacking the code so that the sweep
of the third panel was always proportionate to the sweep of the fourth
panel. Here’s what was entered, instead
of a number, as the sweep of panel 3:
