| Our Civil Union in Vermont September 21, 2002 |

| On 9/19/02 4:30 p.m. we (Jeff, Chris and Rene') left Kentucky on our way to Wilmington, VT. 8 1/2 hours later, we arrived in Harrisburg, PA. where we use to live. We spent the night there at Marty's house, and since it had been over a year since we had seen each other, it was 3:30 a.m. before we went to bed. At 6:30 a.m, 9/20/02, it was time to get the next leg of our journey started. We met up with Brad and Teresa at 8:00 a.m. and off we went. We arrived at Averill Stand, the B&B where we stayed and where we had our Civil Union, on 9/20/02 6 hours later. Words cannot begin to explain what Bob, Jim and Susan did to make our Civil Union so memorable. They went above and beyond our expectations, as you will see in the photos, to make our day PERFECT. When we arrived, at Averill Stand, we were cheerfully greeted by Susan, a wonderul lady who immediatly made us feel "at home." We then proceeded to go outside to pick the spot where we would have our Civil Union. The grounds are beautiful. Susan then escorted me and Chris to the Town Clerk where we applied and received our Civil Union License. We met with Ethel, the Justice of the Peace, who is probably the sweetest and most sincere lady we have ever met. Her ceremony was remarkable.(you will be able to read the Civil Union prepared by Ethel.) With all the formalities out of the way, it is now time to relax and enjoy! In the following pages, you will see pictures of the Civil Union, the reception, and us just enjoying ourselves.
