During October's prestigious St.James Art Fair in Louisville
(and The St.James Un-Fair, its outsider neighbor), Jeffrey Scott
Holland could be seen roaming the sidewalks selling these primitive
handmade postcards. We may be prejudiced, but we think it's some of
his best work ever, recalling the slapdash silliness of his good
old Spunt years.
It's also interesting to note the excessive use of text, considering
Holland's work is usually as silent and frozen as Edward Hopper's.
We're told that over a hundred of these cards were made for the
purpose of street-hawking during the fair.
Many thanks to Mason Maxey for supplying these images!
