Hey Jon,

Thanks for your concern but I am, in fact, alive........ been a busy bug.
Working on handmade art cards for the twenty dollar show at Cinderblock coming
up, and trying to get the groundwork laid on this performance-art thing. No
real news to feed you at the moment but if you're still planning on doing
that 'year in review' thing, you might add somewhere in there that my three big
projects slated for 2006 (aside from painting, which is neverending) are:

1. JSH fashion. This is something that's been in the works for a long time. The
fine-art t-shirts are just part of it. I'm planning on launching a Spring line
of actual JSH designer clothing that you can, you know, actually buy in stores.
Some people will probably think this is the most spectacularly pretentious
thing ever, but you know what? It gets even more pretentious, my dears. Oh yes.
Just you wait.

2. "Dark Observatory". I'm not sure I like the name and it may change between
now and then. Or it may not. Or it may change every performance. They'll all be
videotaped and theoretically some people are putting a DVD of it out at the
end of 2006.

3. I'm working on a graphic novel called "Panola", sneak peeks of which are
sporadically viewable in the Window Comics installation. Not sure who's going
to be putting it out. Possibly Superfrothco, possibly Le Dernier Cri. It takes
place in Madison County, Kentucky and will make a fine introduction/initiation
to Appalachian Voodoo and that good ol' Creeps feeling.

So yeah, yes, yep, all is well. Let me know if you're going to the thing at
Primo and we'll hoist glasses of Hennepin. Bring your camera.

with queso,
JSH
