As received it was working. I replaced all paper caps and gave it a good cleaning inside and out. The case polished up well using Novus polish.
Radios of this vintage often used printed circuit boards. This one does not, but it does have an unusual metal chassis with some parts mounted on it almost like a PCB. Other features that distinguish this from earlier radios are the ferrite loop antenna coil and the use of polystyrene plastic rather than bakelite. This was made near the end of the era of tube radios manufactured in North America.
