It receives the AM broadcast band as well as three shortwave bands and as an external audio input. There are two 5 inch speakers mounted on the sides.
It has separate bass and treble controls.
I rescued it from neighbour's garbage.
It worked when found but the wooden case is in poor shape. a front piece was completely loose, and the glass dial is completely missing and replaced with a piece of white plexiglass.
The two dial lamps were missing and a #47 (not the correct base) was soldered in. I installed two new #44 lamps and removed the #47.
The controls were noisy but improved after a few shots of contact cleaner.
The eye tube had a open 470K resistor on it (a common problem). After replacing the resistor the eye tube works but is quite dim.
The tuning cap was shorting out near one end of its travel. Some minor bending fixed it.
I cut a piece of transparent plexiglass for the dial glass. You can see now the innards and not get a shock. Maybe later I can create a reproduction of the dial glass but I only have a very small picture of how it originally looked.
This Radio Museum web page has some information including schematics (you must be a member to get all of the details).
The radio has excellent sound. I may try to reproduce the dial glass if I can get a better picture or a scan of it.
