My poems My poems
Here are some poems that I have written.

Three simple words

Some words, though hardly ever spoken
are never forgotten.
Some words don’t have to be said more than once,
but if they’re never said again
the silence overpowers the words
and eventually the words want to be forgotten,
but never are.
They eat away at your heart.
They crawl into the tiny crevices of your mind,
and reveal the truth,
the truth that you didn’t want to face,
the truth those words don’t say,
the truth those words want to cover up,
but they can’t.
The truth is in the silence.
That silence that will never be broken
because there are no more words to be spoken,
no more words to be remembered,
only the silence,
which hurts more than any words ever could.

And the search goes on

I am lost,
in a world where the path should be clear.
I am alone,
but everyone has someone to lean on.
I am afraid,
although no one covers their eyes.
I am guilty,
when everyone tells the truth.
I am tired,
when energy is abundant.
I am weak,
though I hold the world on my shoulders.
I cannot see,
yet I know of the light.
I do not hear,
but the noise is deafening.
I am alone,
but I am surrounded.
I am lost,
and do not know where I can be found.

Memories

The bright sunlight shines in through my window.
I cover my eyes.
I can see only the sharp, intense rays through my fingers.
I close the heavy curtains.
The room is dark once again.
The memory of the light darts around the room.
I close my eyes.
I drift away into another world,
where there is only soft, gentle light,
the sun always shines through sheer curtains,
and nothing needs to be forgotten.

Emptiness

That one moment
when you feel better inside,
when everything is good.
Life tastes sweet…
or salty, or spicy.
Then you feel sick
and it’s not good anymore.
You want to take it back,
all the sweet…
or salty , or spicy.
You purge yourself of the sickness
and wipe it clean
so there’s nothing left.
The water runs clearly
and you feel better again,
but only for a moment.
