The Breastfeeding Page
Ok, on this page I will drone on about the benefits of breastfeeding :) So sit back, have a glass of water (oh so important when you are pregnant or nursing) and enjoy the read ;)
First, just in case the baby wakes up, I want to list a few support groups here on Yahoo & on a few other sites. I am or have been a member of each of these, and they have all come in handy at one point or another. Please keep in mind that they are in no particular order :) They are groups of wonderful women who have, at one point or another, been a breastfeeding momma :-)
Groups on Delphi Forums
Breastfeeding Pure and Simple - This is an awesome group on Delphi forums. If you have any question, there is someone here to answer it. And they also welcome Mommies-to-Be who are intending on breastfeeding.
Breastfeeding and Beyond -An open forum offering advice, information and support for moms who breastfeed, exclusively pump, or combine feeding methods.
Yahoo Groups
Mainstream Breastfeeding Mamma's -Exactly what the name implies. This group is doesn't focus on any 'type' of parenting. So if you are AP or not, you are welcome here.
Breastfed is Bestfed- Support,advice,and encouragement for nursing Moms~
breastfeeding - This is a list for breastfeeding mothers and those that support them. Be forwarned, this is a Very High Volume group!
Nursing Know Hows - The troubleshooting club for breastfeeding moms

My Maggie is now 4 1/2 years old and our nursing relationship ended when I was pregnant with Tessa. Now, Tessa is almost 17 months old and as strong a nurser as her sister was!
The La Leche League is one of the formost authorities on breastfeeding. At their site, you will find a plethora of information on everything from the basics of breastfeeding, to finding a support group in your area.
Breastfeeding is a wonderful thing. There is no feeling or connection in the world like it. What better nutrition is there? This page is not intended to belittle formula mommies. On the contrary, I firmly believe that everyone has a right to do what they feel is best for their baby and themselves. If that means formula instead of breast, then so be it. But if this page, or my experiences, can persuade even one mommy to breastfeed, then I will post a million pages! As I work on the Breastfeeding page, I hope to have links to various groups & organizations that can help a breastfeeding mommy. If you are searching for a particular organization or a group that isn't listed here, please email me and I will do my best to help you locate it.
