Yes, it is certainly a Sad and Angry day for America and the people that live within its borders. For friends, family and acquaintances it is a day or concern, sadness, and even Anger. I see the people rejoicing on the streets in Palestine and I feel udder disgust for them. Parts of me, want to see them dead, killed, murdered ... but that would bring me right down to the level of the animals that supported what happened in America today. September 11, 2001. This day will be a day that sticks in the minds of Americans forever. I find myself seeing people not in chaos but pulling together, filling the streets to help. Strangers lending a hand to support their unknown American neighbors. Americans, all races, all ages filling the Red Cross, giving blood, so many that they are turning people away and telling them to come back. What does not kill us makes us stronger? This is what has happened in America today. People are not concerned about what race the person is standing next to us, laying next to us needing help ... we hold a hand, give a shoulder of support, a hug to a trembling person all without thinking of race, just humanity. It is amazingly wonderful to see the American people come together in strength.
As in a song I have heard my parents sing during peace marches comes to mind
and sings through my soul...
We shall overcome, we shall over come, we shall overcome some day....Deep in my heart I do believe we shall overcome someday. We'll walk hand in hand, we'll walk hand in hand ... we'll walk hand in hand someday, Deep in my heart I do believe we'll walk hand in hand someday.
Well, that day has come and we are overcoming, we are walking hand in hand. We ARE supporting our selves and our fellow Americans. This will not be a day of victory for our enemies, but a day of strength for our America. Let us finally see each other as friends, families, neighbors, loved ones, HUMANS! For we are now pulled together as ONE. ONE people in ONE nation, giving support and love to ALL PEOPLE.
I hope you are doing as well as can be assumed in this time of sorrow. Know that you are loved by me and by many of your fellow Americans. We are ONE.
As Always, Anna
