"Stars"

Stars are the windows of heaven
Where angels peep through
Up in the sky they keep an eye,
on kids like me & you.
They cry each time we are naughty,
Their teardrops are the rain.
But when we're good they are smiling
And they shine again,
My Mom said
Stars are the windows of heaven
Where angels peep through.

"In Memory of Those Loved"

May you always walk in sunshine
And God's love around you flow;
For the happiness you gave us,
No one will ever know.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you did not go alone;
A part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
A million times we've needed you,
A million times we've cried.
If love could only have saved you,
You never would have died.

"The Chosen One"

God needed an angel in Heaven
To stand at the Savior's feet.
His choice must be the rarest,
A lily pure and sweet.

He gazed among the mighty throng
Then stopped and picked the best.
Our child was His chosen one.
With Jesus she's now at rest.

"Remembering"
Go ahead & mention my child,
The one that died, you know.
Don't worry about hurting me further.
The depth of my pain doesn't show.
Don't worry about making me cry.
I'm already crying inside.
Help me to heal by releasing
the tears I try to hide.
I'm hurt when you just keep silent,
Pretending she didn't exist.
I'd rather you mention my child,
Knowing that she has been missed.
You asked me how I am doing.
I say "pretty good" or "Fine".
But healing is something ongoing.
I feel it will take a lifetime.

"Visitor From Heaven"

A visitor from heaven
if only for a while.
A gift of love to be returned
We think of you & smile.
A visitor from heaven
Accompanied by grace,
Reminding of a better love
And of a better place.

With aching hearts and empty arms
We sent you with a name.
It hurts so much to let you go
But we're so glad you came.
We're so glad you came.

A visitor from heaven
If only for a day.
We thank Him for the time He gave
And now it's time to say
We trust you to the Father's love
and to his tender care.
Held in everlasting arms.
And we're so glad you're there.
We're so glad you're there.

With breaking hearts and open hands
We send you with a name.
It hurts so much to let you go
but we're so glad you came.
We're so glad you came.

"A Quiet Place"

Keep a quiet little place
where only you can go
A place securely set aside to think
to breathe, to grow
Don't think that you'll be lonely there,
for God is close beside you;
His messages will all come through
to comfort and to guide you.
Life's burdens grow much lighter
for all those who've set apart
A quiet place for God to dwell
at peace within the heart!

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.  For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows. If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer.  And our HOPE for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort."
