A Holiday Surprise A silly Christmas poem in Starbuck`s POV By Betty and Jen(lmr) 'Twas a night full of loving, of sex and romance. All I wanted was Apollo, to get into his pants. But now I lay tossing, and turning in bed. Unable to sleep or rest my weary head. Then from the other room I heard a thump and a clatter, so I jumped out of the bed to see what was the matter. It could be the boy just getting a drink, or that damn daggit of his playing at the sink. I was not prepared for the sight that I saw, a fat little man rubbing his jaw. He stood up with a groan and looked himself over then mumbled to no one about landing in clover. Picking up a red bag that was bigger than he, he checked out the room and said, "Where is the tree?" I took a deep breath as I went out the door and yelled at the man, "Drop that bag on the floor." He turned with a jerk and yelled out in surprise, "I`m not to be seen by any mortals eyes." "Who are you?" I asked without so much as a pause. Then he answered me plainly, "Why I am Santa Clause." Jen(lmr)`s part Dazed and amazed, he asked, "Why are you here?" Because you have something so special, something so dear. Return to your bed, forget I was here, then when you awake be of good cheer. Starbuck's eyes glazed over and he returned to his bed, thoughts of magic dancing through his head. His midnight visitor set about his task, His naughty and nice list paled to this, Seeing a love as strong as this was more than he could ask Before he left he bestowed on the sleeping figure, a single kiss. Betty again I awoke to a bang to bark and a shout. Young Boxey was yelling, "You must check this out." My love and I ran to see what was the matter and stopped in our tracks unable to chatter. There in the corner was a very big tree with presents galore and some were for me. Our eyes big as saucers, we stared at the sight then my love loudly asked, "Just what happened last night?" Then the boy found a note taped on our front door. It explained all the gifts that covered our floor. Then we heard a jolly voice bounce off the walls, "Merry Christmas to you all! But next year please deck your halls!" I looked at my love It was worse than we feared, we realised that day That Earth`s people were weird. |
