Bernardo & Homolka
In case anyone forgets or never did know, Paul Bernado and his wife Karla
Homolka were both found
guilty of murder in the deaths of two Ontariogirls and Karla's younger
sister, with all three deaths being
sexual perversion as well as torture.
To give these two fame by making a movie about them is obscene and must
not be permitted.
So I urge everyone to add their names to the bottom of this petition and
forward it to everyone one you know.
Thank you. Please add your names. Let's be decent - let's be Canadian.
NOTE: The parents of the two teenage girls that were victims of sexual
assault and murdered have been trying to prevent this film from being made.
Let's see what protest we can make to support them in their efforts.
Let's keep this petition moving right along quickly.
I didn't laugh because these kids were victems of sexual perversion as well as torture, but mainly because an online petition was actually made to help stop the making of a movie about this. I always thought that online petitions (let it sink in for awhile as to why this should be an oxymoron) were pretty stupid to begin with, but this really took the cake. Let's look at this for a second. You say that giving these two murderers "fame by making a movie about them is obscene and must not be permitted". Let me tell everyone something about this. Fame is fame whether it's in a movie or not. By sending this email around to stop this movie from being made, you're already giving these people some sort of fame. This movie is not going to be made to look at these people in the positive light like they were heroes or something. This movie will be made to show that they are what they are; a couple of disgusting bastards who should be put to death. I never heard of these people before, and by sending me this email I now know, so I guess this petition is doing exactely the opposite of what it's original intention was. Nice going morons. Oh, and spare me the lectures about how a movie will give them more publicity than this email would, because through word of mouth, millions of other people will know of these people (My website for example will be telling many people)
I can understand if the whole point of this protest was because the parents don't want this tragedy that they faced made into a movie (I mean, hell, it's only the decent thing to do for them), but the whole fame arguement just throws it all down the shitter. Screw it. When you decided to start an online petition ,of all things, to stop the making of the movie you lost my vote right there. What good are online petitions anyways? A shitload of people are on the side of the parents, but it's not going to stop shit. I know damn well if I recieved an online petition signed by a hundred whiners to shut my site down because something might offend them I would read it, and then write an article about it and how retarded it was in the first place. Go ahead and send it to the higher ups who have the ability to shut me down. If I get shut down, I'll just start over again on another site. Nothing ever gets done. Stop with the online fight (because the real world doesn't matter shit over cyberspace) because it's clearly going nowhere.
