FUCK YOU AND YOUR HUGE RESUMES

It occured to me that when companys or stores are hiring some new people for their staff, they usually choose the most impressive of the resumes that they recieve. They throw out the resumes with mistakes or aren't done up right, and then choose the best out of the remaining ones. So here's the thing that I don't understand. Why would companies like Wal-mart, Zellers, K-mart, Dollarama, or any fast food restaraunt choose the biggest resume, the resume with the most job experience or even the best skills when the jobs that the potential employee will recieve require little more than slight physical strength, slight organization and basic math? I mean, does the average schmo really need a PHD in molecular biology to work in anything other than something science related? Why the hell do these companies choose the person with a whole shit load of credentials when choosing through resumes when all they really need for workers are someone who are smart enough to not come to work looking like an idiot every day?

Hell, even the teenagers with minimal credentials but just enough to fill up a few pages on a resume shouldn't get special benifits over anyone else trying a shot for the job. You'd the think that the ones who are doing the hiring would really use a little logic. I mean, if you see a resume with perfect spelling yet doesnt have much in the way of job experience it doesn't necessarily mean that this person isn't able to do the job better than anyone else. There's a chance that the person with the mediocre resume might be able to do the job better than all of those big shits with their twenty page resumes because they need the job more, and are more likely to try their hardest to do a good job because they would like to keep their job. I haven't had much in the way of jobs before but I know damn well that if I get hired I'd give 110% because I need the job more than anyone else with all of their work experience.

Needless to say, I don't really think that when it comes to places like macdonalds that job experience is a must. It's pretty obvious that manager's aren't using enough commen sense anymore.
