Britney's Santa Cruz encounter*8/12/01

It all started realy early in the morning, 6:00 I think. I really wanted to sleep, but how could I? I was gonna meet Dream Street! I got up, got in the shower and got ready. I could feel it, this day would be GREAT! Of course, I NEEDED sunglasses(for two purposes!)and I couldn't find mine! So I snuck into my sisters room and got a pair of hers. I walked down to Autumn's house(were neighbors) and she was almost ready. After about 10 minutes, we left. We had a few detours on the way! I NEEDED a disposable camera! Also Autumn's sister Jenna didn't want to go see DS!(How could she not?!?) Anyways, when we finally were on the road towards the happiest day of oue lives, it was about 8AM. We got donuts too!(yummy!) It seemed like forever to finally get to Santa cruz!(but we did!) In the car, Autumn and I got SO bored, but our excitment kept us busy. We made her dad turn on the CD and that kept us occupied!(for awhile!) when we realized that we had to gel pens, we wrote down each others arms. Autumn wrote 'I <3 Chris' on my arm in bubble letters, then colored it in, and I wrote 'I <3 Jesse' down hers. We rode the WHOLE)well almost) of the way down with our arms out the window. We got there at about 12:00(when the show started) because her dad got lost!(we STILL love you!: )> Well we had a side-stage view, but then when Townsend was doing an autograph signing everyone left, so we got FRONT row! ALOT of people were mad at us cuz we "took their spots" but oh well! They left! We stood there and never moved cuz we were afraid we'd lose our spots! Autumn heard screaming and looked back, she saw Chris's hair and started screaming~"Britney, run!" So I ran as hast as I could, got pictures of them and screamed. Then ran back to the spot Autumn saved for me. We waited for a while longer and DS FINALLY came out! Oh, did they look HOT! Chris looked especially fine! Once I yelled~ "Chris come over here, I love u!" and he pulled his sunglasses down to his nose, winked, put his sunglasses back on and danced over to me! He reached down and grabbed my hand and smiled! I felt like I could melt! Autumn and I left our spots early so we could get in the meet and greet line(I SO regret that!) we ended up in th back cuz everyone cut anyway! We watched Feel the rain and IHET from afar. DS was SO nice! They stayed extra longso they could meet everyone! How cool huh? So when I finally got up there, Chris was looking down. He looked up and said~"Hey!" I was like~"Hi, hows it going?" We talked for awhile and I gave him the note I amde for him. He read it and stood up, he said~thank you so much!" then he gave me the longest, best hug ever--And he kissed me...ah, that was nice! I talked with Jesse for a bit, then gave him his note. He said~"This is so sweet of you, this means alot to me!" He gave me a hug and kiss. I talked to the others too, handed them their notes,(I got all 5 autographs) and each of them told me thank you and gave me a hug. That was the best day ever!
