Beverley "Lucy Camden" Mitchell

Beverley Mitchell - Beverley Anne Mitchell was born on January 22, 1981 in Arcadia, California. As a young child, she was discovered by a talent agent while throwing a tantrum in the middle of a shopping center. Soon she began doing commercials for Oscar Mayer, Cream of Wheat, Iron Kids Bread, Energizer batteries, and Disney videos. For the 5'2 actress, acting gigs soon followed. Her television debut was for the show "Big Brother Jake" (1990) and her first large-film role came in 1996s "The Crow: City of Angels." Also in 1996, she auditioned for the role of Lucy Camden on the WBs "7th Heaven." Although the first audition did not go so well, her agent worked it out so she could try again, and thats when she got the role. Beverley, whose name is spelled with that extra "e" and goes by the nickname Bev, graduated from Chaminade High School -- where she was a cheerleader and featured in a magazine -- in 2000. She now actively participates in RADD Kids and KMART Kids Race Against Drug charities, Children Uniting Nations (CUN) and N*SYNC's Challenge For the Children, among others. In 2001, she starred in an independent short film called "Mean People Suck." Most recently, she played Erica Enders in Disneys made-for-TV movie, "Right on Track," which is based on a true story; and was featured on TLCs "Trading Spaces" and the WBs "Jamie Kennedy Experiment." Beverley plans to stay on "7th Heaven" till the very end (she also keeps all of her scripts). Beverleys parents are David, an auto racing promoter, and Sharon, an office manager, although they divorced. Beverley is an only child, and the idea of seven kids and one bathroom (on "7th Heaven") amuses her. The well-focused actress has a heart of gold; she was once quoted as saying, "I like listening to positive things that make you feel good. I don't find Eminem that entertaining." Like some of her co-stars, Beverley has been heavily recognized by the YoungStar Awards and the Young Artists Awards. With the prior, she was nominated in 2000 with her on-screen siblings for Best Young Ensemble Cast - Television, for "7th Heaven." Furthermore, she was nominated in 1998 for Best Performance by a Young Actress in a Drama TV Series. With the latter, she won in 1997, 1998, and 2000 for Best Performance in a TV Drama Series - Leading Young Actress. She was nominated in 1999 for Best Performance in a TV Series - Young Ensemble. Beverley currently resides in Los Angeles with her dogs Tucker and Dixie. She takes night classes at Loyola Marymount University, where she is studying film. When not working or in school, Mitchell enjoys spending time with family and friends, making photo albums and singing.
