Catherine "Annie Camden" Hicks

Catherine Hicks - Catherine was born on August 6, 1951 in Scottsdale, Arizona. She was a cheerleader at Gerard High School in Phoenix, Arizona, and graduated in 1969. Catherine went on to graduate from Saint Marys College in Norte Dame, IN. In addition, she double majored in theology and English literature at Norte Dame University, and won an acting fellowship to Cornell University, where she received a Master of Fine Arts degree. Like her "7th Heaven" co-star Stephen Collins, Catherine also starred in a "Star Trek," the fourth installment, sub-titled "The Voyage Home." A soap opera veteran, Catherine was nominated for an Emmy for playing Marilyn Monroe in "Marilyn: The Untold Story," in 1980. She continued giving strong performances in the 1980s, including the successful 1988 horror film, "Childs Play," for which she won the Saturn Award for Best Actress. In 1996, Catherine landed the role of Annie Camden on "7th Heaven," a role she is more than pleased with. She says, "I liked the script, as it was funny and I wasn't playing a "dumb mother." . . . It's a great thing this show has become -- I get chocked up at times." Catherine married Kevin Yagher in 1990 and had a daughter, Catie, in 1992. They currently reside in Southern California.
