David Gallagher - David Lee Gallagher was born in College Point, Queens, NY on February 9, 1985. At a very young age he was already a movie veteran, having starred with John Travolta in two films, "Look Whos Talking Now" in 1993 and "Phenomenon" in 1996. Besides playing Simon Camden on "7th Heaven," he has also starred in "Richie Richs Christmas Wish, (1998)," "Little Secrets, (2001)," and the upcoming independent movie "Coldwater," for which he is also a producer. At not even two years old, the 5'10 Gallagher landed his first print ad job and he has since done commercials for corporations such as Walt Disney World, Burger King, Panasonic, Hanes, Betty Crocker and Tyson Foods. Growing up on "7th Heaven" has earned the young actor a heartthrob and teen-idol status. Combined with new fan-magazine fame, David is proving to be a wonderful actor, but he is also an avid student who enjoys cars -- he owns a Prowler -- swimming, basketball, and just being a normal teenager. He will graduate from Chaminade High School -- where Beverley Mitchell also attended -- in 2003, and wants to pursue filmmaking in college, hopefully at USC. He has said he will leave "7th Heaven" while he pursues his career, although he may still do some episodes. David also enjoys dancing. He once said, "I'm more into beats than rhymes. I'm a huge fan of anything touched by the Neptunes. Dancing is kind of my thing. I go out with my friends as often as I can on the weekends, and I'm always drawn to girls with rhythm." Davids parents are named Vince and Elena. He also has two younger brothers, Killian and Kyle, and two younger sisters, Michele and Kelly, one of whom guest-starred in a "7th Heaven" episode. Killian is autistic, which is why David is a devoted member and spokesperson of the organization C.A.N (Cure Autism Now), and wants his show to devote an episode to the issue. But no doubt, David has a 7th Heaven going on at home. Besides his large family, he also has several pets, including turtles, parrots, and Rottweiler dogs named Sonia and Nomad. David was nominated by the Young Artist Awards in 1999 and 2002 for Best Performance in a TV Series - Young Ensemble, and Best Performance in a TV Drama Series - Leading Young Actor, respectively. In fact, David was nominated for the latter award in 1997 and 1998 as well, but also in 1994 for "Look Whos Talking Now" (Best Actor Under Ten in a Motion Picture). David was also nominated by the YoungStar Awards for Best Performance by a Young Actor in a Drama TV Series in 1997, 1999, and 2000, although he did win in 1998, possibly after his emotional performance in his favorite episode, "I Hate You," about the Holocaust. Lastly, he was nominated in 1999 for Best Performance in a TV Series - Young Ensemble.
