Charles August Scholl's [Leslie's father] parents were Adam Scholl born 1825, and Anna Elisabeth Bickhard, who were married July 11, 1847 at the German reformed church in New York City; their marriage certificate states that Adam was then 22 years old. They had 7 children).
Adam Scholl served in the Civil War. He was originally from Germany; he came to the US and was enlisted in the army from around Albany, New York. He was sworn into the military service on August 26, 1864. He died in a prison camp at Salisbury, North Carolina on January 1, 1965.
