In this tutorial I will show you how to make your own blank banner using Paint Shop Pro!

Step 1: I will be using the image below to make my banner, you will either need to download it
or copy it onto your clipboard if you are following along.

Step 2: Next you will need to open a new image by clicking on the little page icon, OR going to 'file-new'
I will be making mine a 400x97 image.

Step 3: now you should have a blank image that looks like this,

what you should do now is either copy the Hotaru image, OR if you saved it go ahead and open it (file-open)
and then do edit-copy.

Step 3: select your blank image by clicking on the blue bar and do edit-paste-as a new selection, and move the image to where you want it placed on your banner. You need to unselect it by clicking on selections-select none.

Step 4: Go to the icon that looks like this, and click it. It should give you a little menu that says
'Tool Options'. Leave that alone for just a sec, now click on the paint can icon. Now, go back to that
little menu and select any form of gradient that you want, I chose linier gradient.

Step 5: Click on the tab that has the 3 lines on it, then choose the fill style you would like to use.

put the flood fill cursor over the white part of the image and click, tada! you should get this!

To save the image, click on file-save as, select the folder where you want it to be saved and call it whatever
you feel like Calling it! But make sure it is a .gif or .jpg
