" I am undroppable "

O'Brien
Colm O Brien has claimed that he has become 'undroppable' at Newtown this season. The midfielder has been handed a number of different roles in the side in resent weeks in order to accommodate a new improving Cremin – Shanahan midfield partnership. O’ Brien who stood out on his return from a spell on the sideline with injury scored twice that day and set up one. He believes his status at Barry Park has risen and allowed him to put talk of a move to Nenagh on the back-burner. The 25-year-old says Premier champions Nenagh Celtic are keeping in contact, but the ace admits he is happy with his situation in Newtown. "The fact that Nenagh chairman keeps on making it clear that he wants me is flattering," O’ Brien is quoted in The Tipp Star. "I'm often on the telephone with his right-hand man, who asks me how it's going at Newtown and whether I'd be interested in playing for them one day. "But I have become an undroppable player for Newtown. "When I recovered from injury, it was as if I was a complete unknown, but I have contributed to resent wins and improved form as I have imposed my personality and my game on the Newtown team."
