Joan: Please help me welcome Martina McBride!

Loretta: Martina! Martina is one of my greatest friends. Thank you all!

Joan: Welcome to the show!

Martina: Thank you.

Loretta: You know Joan, when she was put on the Grand Ole Opry, she asked for me to do that.

Martina: To induct me into the Opry.

Loretta: Yeah.

Martina: I certainly did.

Loretta: Yes. And I did it with pleasure, I'll tell you. I love her, she's great!

Joan: (...) big influence on you?

Martina: Excuse me?

Joan: Was she an influence on you?

Martina: Oh absolutely! You know, Loretta changed.... I mean now we... Us girl singers, we kind of take it for granted what we can sing about and she really changed what women can sing about. Just with her honesty and her directness and this is... I just love her so much. And she's influenced us all.

Loretta: I love you too., baby.

Martina: Thank you.

Loretta: She's one of my greatest friends.

Martina: That means so much to me. Hey, you're gonna make me cry!

Joan: We should also say that you're working on a new CD, right?

Martina: I'm working on a new CD, yeah, it's a freatest hits CD, it comes out sometime in the fall. The album we have out right now is called 'Emotion', so...

Joan: Oh.

Martina: Yeah.

Joan: Loretta told me that you've been doing some of her songs, for instance some of her classic hits.

Martina: Absolutely.

Joan: Like "One's On The Way?"

Martina: Like "One's On The Way", yeah.

Joan: Well you guys are gonna do it together tonight?

Martina: Yeah. I would love to.

Joan: Alright.

Loretta: We're gonna try.

Martina: Well we are!

Loretta: We're gonna try.

Joan: You haven't done this before?

Loretta: No.
