Some Magical Uses of Color
When we look around at our surroundings, light waves of different frequencies bounce off various objects, are transmitted through optical receptors of the eye to the portion of the brain where it is translated into the various colors of the visible electromagnetic spectrum (visible light). Because color is a factor of energy and frequency, it can have measurable effects on the mind, mood and perceptions. In magic, this means that choosing the correct color for candles or candle holders, fabric, paper, ink, whatever can have a dramatic effect on both the conscious and subconscious mind, helping us to tap into and focus the proper type of energy for a specific task or magical spell.
