This ritual should be done for three consecutive days during the waxing moon, with the full moon being on the third day. However, as with most rituals this can be performed whenever you are feeling the need for extra "juice" prior to doing a major spell, to replenish your magical energies after having done a major spell, or after recovering from an illness or medical procedure.

Needed Items:

1) Dragon's blood oil or Cinnamon oil;

2) 1 full size taper candle of an appropriate color to represent yourself (something that can burn at least 3 hours);

3) 3 purple candles;

4) one candle each of the following according to the days you are working on: Sunday: yellow or gold; Monday: white or silver; Tuesday: red; Wednesday: orange; Thursday: royal blue, or purple; Friday: green or pink; Saturday: black

Perform Draconic Circle Casting, Invoke deity, Invite Mystical Companions

Step 1: the candle representing yourself should be carved with your magical name and the following runes:

Ansuz: to gain wisdom	Gifu : to increase magical powers	Isa: to increase your magical will
Perdhro: to help evolve your magical ideas	Mannaz: to increase memory and mental powers	Eihwaz: to remove blocks to your magical abilities
Nied: to achieve your goals	Lagaz: to develop your intuitive faculties	Sigel: for victory and success

Arrange the purple candles in a triangle pattern, with you identifier candle in the center. If you can not leave the work table set up for the duration, when you reconstruct the work area add one new candle each day. The day candle will always be a new candle appropriate to the day you are working and should be placed in the upper right corner of the altar if you are right handed, and the upper left corner if you are left handed.

Step 2: Stand before the altar while concentrating on your desire for increased personal power and your reasons for wanting it. When you are ready say:

(Name of deity), I stand before and give You honor. As Your priest/ess, I ask a boon: I am a wo/man with great potential and power residing with, which but awaits to be unlocked. I ask that You join Your power with mine that my personal powers and abilities may reach their fullest potential that I may better serve You, my family and my Clan. So mote it be!

Step 3: Anoint your personal candle with the oil, and feel power being fed into the candle from all sides by your companions until it can hold no more while chanting:

Dragons of Power, Dragons of Light,

Dragons of Wisdom, Dragons of Might,

Lend me your magic, Lend me your aid,

Lend me your guidance as his spell is made!

When the flow stops, replace the candle in it's holder and light, saying:

This is my flame of power and confidence.  Through it shall my potential be realized by the strength of my desire, and by the blessing of (name of deity). So mote it be!

Step 4: Light the day candle, and purple candle #1 (light candles 1 and 2 on the second day, and all three on the third) and say:

The power within me burns as brightly as a flame, increasing in strength day after day. It is ever present, and ever may it be used in service to my gods, my family, and my Clan... for no matter how much is expended, it is always replenished three-fold.

Step 5: Sit comfortably and meditate on yourself. Feel your power and abilities growing stronger and more potent. In your mind, see yourself surrounded by a deep purple light or mist that grows ever deeper and more rich. Feel it being absorbed into your body, making you more energized and vital...powerful and strong. No sooner is it absorbed when more develops and is absorbed in turn. Keep this meditation going until you feel you just can't take in any more without bursting, then relax. Clear you mind. Re-ground and center if necessary. When you are ready say:

So grow my powers, ever increasing and ever replenished. As each day is followed by the next, so shall my power grow, from now till the end of time. The more it is used, the more it grows in strength. (Name of deity) and my Dragon friends, I thank you for your assistance. May You ever guide me as I walk the pathways of my life. So mote it be!

Extinguish the candles and put them in a safe place if you are unable to leave them out. (On the third day, let the purple candles burn out completely. If there is enough of your personal candle left, you may put it away in a safe place to be reused should you feel the need to repeat this ritual, or it may also be allowed to burn out completely).

End the ritual as usual.
