Virtual XI

They've finally figured out how to use Blaze's voice. The chilling effects of Lightning Strikes Twice and Eyes Of A Stranger are awesome. This album is reminicent of the Somewhere In Time/Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son era. In fact, this may be the best Maiden album since Seventh Son. Maiden has figured out one clue to the simple formula: 8 Songs, not 13.
  1. Futureal - A cool opener. Reminds me of De Ja Vue (feels like I've heard it before).
  2. The Angel And The Gambler - This is the kind of song that Maiden needs to put out more often. This song should get some airplay for sure.
  3. Lightning Strikes Twice - This ranks up there with Fear Of The Dark in the classics catagory. A chilling performance by Blaze. His voice was made for songs like these.
  4. The Clansman - I thought that they were doing Infinate Dreams again for a moment. This song could have come right out of Seventh Son or Powerslave.
  5. When 2 Worlds Collide - Could've been a Bruce Dickinson song. Pretty cool.
  6. The Educated Fool - something is very classic about the whole thing.
  7. Don't Look To The Eyes Of A Stranger - Scary, chilling, could be a cool horror movie theme.
  8. Como Estas Amigos - Despite the confusing title (which means "how are you, friends" btw) it is a really cool ballad, which is what Maiden should have done a long time ago.

Iron Maiden

  1. Prowler - This one really moves fast. I love this song. If I was a vocalist, I would have to cover this song. It's one of only a couple songs to be redone with Bruce.
  2. Remember Tommorow - A moving song with powerful slower sections. Possibly one of the best songs that Di'anno ever sang.
  3. Running Free - They do this one at every concert. It's a really cool song. It's one of the few maiden songs to have 2 singles (one live and one album). This and Prowler are two songs that I would love to do vocals for (if my voice was that good).
  4. Phantom Of The Opera - This is a cool one. This one makes you feel as if you are part of the action. A really gothic sounding one.
  5. Transylvania - An instumental. Not Bad.
  6. Strange World - Cool song but I like the Soundhouse version much better. I have to like this song, I named my page after it.
  7. Sanctuary (US Only) - not too bad, but this is not one of my favorites.
  8. Charlotte The Harlot - Interesting song. Dave Murry wrote it. It begins the Charlotte series. It's one of only a couple songs to be redone with Bruce.
  9. Iron Maiden - This is like THE Iron Maiden song. It is a truly awesome song.
