Thursday, October 10th - Arrival and registration in Hospitality Room at the Holiday Inn BWI. 890 Elkridge Landing Road, Linthicum, Maryland 21090. The daily rate is $95.00 plus tax. Telephone: (410) 859-8400. FAX (410) 859-8060.

Friday, October 11th - An 8:AM (tentative time.) tour of Fort McHenry, built in 1776 to protect the Baltimore Harbor. During the War of 1812, Frances Scott Key wrote the "Star Spangled Banner" while being held prisoner on a British warship that was standing off and bombarding the Fort during the night. When he awoke and saw the colors still flying he was inspired to write our National Anthem. The bus will then proceed past Federal Hill which overlooks the Inner Harbor. We will be dropped off at the inner harbour prior to lunch.

Lunch will be on your at the Inner Harbor (There are many resturants)

The afternoon will be for your own sightseeing. The Inner Harbor is home to the Coast Guard Cutter "TANEY", The last ship afloat that survived the Pearl Harbor attack, the submarine "USS TORSK", which was the last sub to sink a ship during WWII and the "USS CONSTELLATION" built in Baltimore in 1854 and the oldest sailing vessel of the United States Navy. The National Aquarium and the Science center are also right there. The Babe Ruth museum, Baltimore Railroad Museum are close by.

The bus will depart at 4: PM (tentative time)and arrive back at the Hotel by 5: PM

Friday evening dinner is on your own. Facilities at the hotel and the surrounding area are very good.

Saturday, October 12th - Optional tour or sightseeing on your own. Buddy Stewart has scoped out the following optional tour - A 9: AM tour of Washington D.C. This tour will bring you by the White House, Washington Memorial on to the Iwo Jima Memorial and up to Arlington National Cematary for the changing of the guard. The tour will continue on to the Vietnam Memorial, Korean War Memorial, Lincoln, Jefferson and the Navy Memorial. Lunch will be at a Washington resturant with beverage, lunch, dessert and gratuity included in the tour price. If time permits, we will stop at the FDR Memorial before returning to the hotel by 5.pm Cost of this tour is extra and is $50.00 The second proposal is to rent a bus and drop everyone off at the FDR Memorial. You will be on your own. From there you can easily walk to the Viet Nam and Korea Memorial, the Lincoln, Jefferson and Washington Monument. There are lots of places for lunch. I would recommend the Post Office Pavillion. There are many little fast food shops and the price is right. The Aerospace museum has a very nice resturant as well. From that point all the Smithonian Museums are within walking distance. The bus would pickup at approximately 4:pm to return to the hotel. ****NOTE**** If you plan it right you can see all the memorials including the White House in the time alloted. If walking is a problem there are tourmobile's available nearby that make the circuit and provide a guide to talk about the different sites. This is probably the best way to see everything in a couple of hours. I will provide the schedule and fees for the tourmobile in the mailing. ****Note**** The Baltimore Light Rail Line is close to the hotel. They run a bus every half hour to the station. An all day pass is $3.00 and it drops you off in downtown Baltimore. Three blocks from the Inner Harbour. This line runs until 11:pm. Excellent way to get back to the Inner Harbour to see what you missed on Friday.

Farewell dinner at the hotel. Time TBD

Sunday, October 13th - Depart for homeport
