Summary: While out to dinner at a Chinese restaurant with Ellen and Rob, Will and Grace meet a young couple, Naomi and Kai (played by the delicious Steve Valentine...okay, back to the summary). Ellen and Rob are not impressed with the restaurant, preferring the Olive Garden, and try to get Will and Grace to come with them. Kai convinces Will and Grace to stay, and they agree to go out for dinner another time.
After spending the night with the wild couple, Will and Grace decide to ditch Rob and Ellen for another night out with their new friends. Grace lies to Ellen, telling her that Will is sick and that they have to cancel their plans.
Later that night, just before leaving with Naomi and Kai to see Elvis Costello in concert, Will and Grace are surprised by the sudden appearance of Rob and Ellen, who come bearing soup for a sick Will. Will and Grace try to keep the two in the hallway so that they won't see Naomi and Kai, but make the mistake of leaving to get a cab. When they get back to their floor, they find Naomi, Kai, Rob and Ellen waiting for them. A very angry Rob and Ellen leave in a huff.
The next day, Will and Grace realize that Naomi and Kai are perhaps a bit too wild for them, and head to the Olive Garden to make up with Rob and Ellen. They are welcomed back by their friends, but are not spared a tedious lecture.
Meanwhile, Karen convinces Jack to go with her to her stepkids' school for a parent-teacher conference, despite the fact that Jack has had a fear of elementary school ever since he was mercilessly picked as a boy.
While Jack waits for the meeting to be over, he meets a young boy named John, whom he saves from getting picked on by bullies. He and John seem to have a lot in common, and spend the next while talking about their one-man plays. By the time the meeting is done, both Jack and John have learned important lessons from each other: John gains confidence in himself, and Jack faces his elementary-school demons.
