Summary: It's Thanksgiving and Will and Grace invite Jack's mother to their Thanksgiving dinner. When Jack hears of this, he flips out, but won't say what's wrong. After he storms out of Will's apartment, Jack's mother, Judith, shows up on her "dry run". Through a brief conversation, Judith comments on Grace and Jack having remained friends after breaking up and Will and Grace realize that Jack hasn't come out to his mother yet.

The next day, Will confronts Jack about it and he admits that his mother isn't the easiest to talk to. With a little help from Grace, Will orders Jack to tell his mother that he's gay during dinner.

That night, Karen shows up for dinner and gets the lowdown from Grace. She's hurt that Jack told his mother that Grace was his girlfriend and not her. Jack, meanwhile, is freaking out over having to tell his mom. After Judith shows up, the five sit down to eat.

Will gives Jack an opportunity to tell his mother his secret by suggesting that they all confess one secret about themselves. Karen decides to add herself to Jack's lie and claims she and Jack were doing the "dirty-dirty" while he was dating Grace. When it's Jack's turn, he stalls, then runs out to the balcony. Will follows his, while Judith tries to get Karen and Grace to stop fighting over Jack.

Out on the balcony, Will talks to Jack and convinces him to tell his mother the truth. Jack does, and though his mother is surprised, she's not upset and admits that there have been clues. She then tells Jack her secret: Jack's father isn't really his father. Judith had sex with a man wearing a Nixon mask at a pool party, and he is Jack's father. As to his identity, Judith has no clue. Jack takes it fairly well and collapses on the floor.

Quotes
JACK: Will, I don't have the same relationship with my mother as you do with yours.
GRACE: You never picked out her brassieres?
WILL: [TO GRACE] We don't need that, thank you.

----

JACK: The woman is a monster, and you clearly did this to torture me.
WILL: I did not! That was just an unexpected bonus, really.
----

GRACE: Dumped me? What are you talking about? Jack's a ho--my god, she has no idea!
----

WILL: [READING A COOK BOOK] Ok. Cranberry sauce. Add 4 cups of cranberries, one cup sugar, and orange zest to a heavy stockpot. Bring to a boil. Then simmer and reduce for 45 minutes. Yeah. That'll happen. [WILL DUMPS A CAN OF CRANBERRY SAUCE INTO A BOWL.]
----

GRACE: Well, you've come on a good night. Jack's mother is going to be joining us, and she doesn't know Jack's gay.
KAREN: How could she not know? What is she, headless?
----

WILL: Jack's just in my wardrobe trying to find the perfect coming out-fit.
----

GRACE: Jack, this isn't gonna be as hard as you think. On some level your mother has to know you're gay. I mean, she has met you, right?
----

GRACE: We're all here for you, ok? Right, Karen?
KAREN: [PUSHING JACK] Why wasn't I your girlfriend, queer bait?
JACK: What?!
KAREN: You told your mother that Grace was your girlfriend! How could you?!
JACK: Karen, I didn't even know you when I made up that lie.
KAREN: Oh, yeah? Well, when you met me, then you should've broken up with her and hooked up with me!
JACK: You're married. I'm gay.
KAREN: Not in the lie!
----

JUDITH: Hi, honey. Oh, look at you.
JACK: Oh, no. Look at you.
JUDITH: Ok. Look at me.
JACK: No. Look at me.
----

JACK: Get over it Grace, you already have one gay husband, leave me be.

Did You Notice...
~Jack's mother doesn't know he's 30 (at least according to Jack).
~In the episode Alley Cats, Jack tells Karen that he came out to his father and it shocked his father so much, Jack had to give him CPR. But Jack insists he isn't close to his father, so this was either a lie (which is odd, since he had no reason to lie to Karen at the time) or at some point in his life, Jack came out to his father before he told his mother.
