Summary: The third season premier episode picks up from where it left off: Will is working for Karen and Stan on an island while Grace is still dating Josh and Jack is living temporarily in Will's vacant apartment. With Will away and always busy, Grace finally asks Jack for help with a problem: she's trying to decide which of her two boyfriends to dump, Ben or Josh. Jack gladly steps in to help.

Back on the island, Will finally leaves after getting fed up with Karen's constant nagging. Having no reason to remain on the island either, Karen and Rosario fly back home too, only to encounter a problem at customs. Karen tricks Rosario into smuggling some pearls for her and Rosario is arrested.

Will returns home to find Jack and Grace hanging out in his apartment. Both are glad to see him back and he finally helps Grace with her problem. But later, as he's walks into the hall, he hears through Grace's door Jack and Grace discussing Will's suggestion and acting very buddy-buddy with each other. Will is hurt when Jack opposes his suggestion.

The next day at work, Karen is telling Grace about the island, but gets odd pains everytime she mentions Rosario. When Grace hears what happened, she informs Karen that the pains are from guilt and that Karen has to go free her maid. She does, and all the way home tells Rosario how she should thank Karen for freeing her.

Over at Will's, he finally tells Grace about his worries that she's found a new friend in Jack and she insists that Will will always be her best friend. At that moment, Jack comes in, again telling Grace not to listen to Will's suggestion that she stay with Josh. When Grace asks why, Jack admits that he slept with Josh.

Did You Notice...
~The show has a somewhat new opening, with the title rolling by as usual, but featuring Will, Grace, Karen and Jack at the end.
~This is the first episode where Shelley Morrison is billed a regular cast member. Unlike the four regulars, Shelley's name only appears in the opening credits of the episodes she's in.
~Each season opens with Will in a different hairstyle. The first season had his long hair, the second had the short hair, and the third he has a slighty different style of short hair with bangs.
