But Paul's clingyness is infuriating Will, so he is just about to end it when Paul asks Will to look after his dog for the weekend while he goes away. Will agrees, deciding that this will be a nice way to say goodbye to Paul's dog.

But after Jack takes the dog out for a walk, he loses him and Will is devistated. When Jack reminds Will that if Paul finds out about the dog, then he'll probably break up for Will. But the dog's disappearance only makes Paul more dependent on Will, and Will doesn't feel well breaking up with the man who's dog he lost.

When they prepare to go away for the weekend, Will hears the dog barking and finds the dog in Paul's bedroom. Paul admits that he uses the dog to get boyfriends and the dog has an electronic device built into his collar that helped Paul find him. Will leaves in disgust.

Meanwhile, Grace meets Karen's handsome nephew (son of Stan's sister), Sumner, and falls for him. But Karen tells Grace that Sumner is married, and when he hits on Grace, she tells him that she doesn't date married men. Sumner tells Grace that he isn't married. Grace wonders why Karen lied to her, and when Grace confronts Karen about it, Karen admits that she lied about Sumner because he's really a con-artist and he's even been in jail.

But again, when Grace asks him about the hot guys in prison, he has no idea what she's talking about. Grace she realizes that Karen has lied to her again. She assumes Karen doesn't think she's good enough for Sumner, but wants to hear Karen's reason for herself. She tracks Karen down at the opera, where after much proding, Karen admits that she didn't want Grace to date Sumner because she didn't think Sumner was good enough for Grace. Grace is touched that Karen thinks so kindly of her, but Karen of course, tries to deny it, then insults Grace's hair.
