Back at Will and Grace's, WIll is becoming annoyed by Grace, who is always insisting he stay home with her rather than go out with his friends. So, to keep the both of them happy, Grace throws an "old fashioned piano party", with all of Will's friends.

But this just confuses and annoys Will more, and when he accidentally spills root beer on the piano, Grace is heartbroken. The party members quickly exit, and Grace finally tells Will why she bought the piano. When she reveals that she is afraid of losing their friendship, Will tries to consol her by promising never to leave her and the two are reunited fully when Will plays a song on the piano for her, despite saying they will get rid of it the very next day.

Karen pays Rocco $50 to dump Jack, but while he dumps Jack, Rocco lets it slip that Karen bribed him. Jack is furious, but when Karen offers him $200 to keep writing, he decides he'll have to deal by writing through his pain.
