Summary: When Grace learns about the death of a former classmate, Alice, whom Grace had bulied in school, she feels bad for never apologizing to her and forces Will to join her in going to the funeral. When there, Will immediately notices Alice's gorgeous gay brother, Gabe, and to his surprise, meets Alice, who it turns out isn't the one who died afterall; it was her grandmother of the same name.

After Grace finds out, she decides to leave, but Will reminds her of how bad she felt for not having apologized to Alice while still alive and insists she go apologize now. Meanwhile, Will comforts Gabe, who feels awful about his grandmother's death.

Grace's apology doesn't go over so well when Alice calls her a bitch and tells Grace that the nickname Grace gave her, "Mrs. Lazyface", and the taunting about her lisp has followed her throughout her life and made it hell. Grace decides to leave, but the minister remembers how Grace had wanted to talk about how much Alice meant to her (from before she knew which Alice it was), so Grace is forced to go up and make a speech.

She directs her speech towards the Alice she knew instead, apologizing more so for how cruel she behaved to her, and even bringing up the nicknames she was taunted with in school. Alice accepts and even invites Grace to meet some of the people she now teaches in a special speech therepy class.

But seconds before meeting them, Grace burns her tongue on the coffee and lisp as she greets the students. Alice once again calls her a bitch and Grace gives up. Will joins her after his attempt to ask Gabe out is met with shock that Will would hit on Gabe at his grandmother's funeral.

Meanwhile, Jack is thrilled when he is nominated for a MAC award for his cabaret preformance "Jack 2001". After Karen declines an invite, Jack decides it would be even better if he sent in his acceptance speech on video, like all the big stars do.

Karen helps direct the show, but when she goes to Jack's to get more champange, she hears a message on his machine from the MAC awards, saying they made a mistake and Jack was really nominated. Karen isn't sure how to break it to Jack, but eventually has to tell him when he decides to go to the awards. Jack is utterly depressed, so Karen does all she can to make it up to him. She gets him a man, jewellery, and a check. Jack is thrilled once again.

Quotes

KAREN(to JACK): "Honey, you're simple, you're shallow, and you're a common whore, that's why we're soulmates!"
JACK: "Kare, you're my best friend in the whole world!"

JACK (RE: the towel on his head): "This is so tight, now I know why Evita was such a bitch."

Did You Notice...
~The part where Jack discusses how he wants to "keep them guessing" and how his "sexuality is my own business" is very much like Sean Hayes' attitude towards the subject in real life.
~According to Jack's answering machine message, he has been out since 1985
