Summary: The fourth season opens with Will, having returned from Paris, and Grace, now in a relatioship with Nathan, picking up right where they left off, leaving Nathan feeling like the third wheel. When he finally tells Grace, she decides to let him have more time with her. Nathan asks to join her and Will's annual shopping spree at Barney's and she reluctantly agrees.

Meanwhile, it's Karen and Rosario 15th anniversary of Rosario working for Karen, and Karen decides to take Rosario to Barney's to get her some shoes. Jack decides to take Elliot to Barney's as well to buy him some back to school clothes.

Neither Rosario nor Elliot seem to enjoy the clothes they are presented with. Rosario admits that she was just being picky because she wanted to spend time with Karen. This causes Karen to "feel something" and she hands Rosario her charge card, then quickly leaves the store. Elliot tells Jack he said he liked the clothes just because he wanted Jack to like him. Jack tells Elliot he does like him, and the two decide to go to one of Elliot's favourite stores to get clothes.

Meanwhile, things aren't going well for either Will or Grace. Will's new jeans from Paris are quite popular amoung with the women - to wear, that is. Nathan, meanwhile, is cracking under the pressure of constant shopping and soon tells Grace to go back to shopping with Will. He then leaves to find a sports bar, just as Will returns to rescue Grace from piles of clothes.

Quotes
JACK: I am telling you, Nate, they're joined at the unhip.

----

KAREN [ANSWERING PHONE]: Grace Adler Designs. Oh, hi, Stanley. No, I'm not doing anything. Sure, okay. You want to start now? [BEAT] Okay. Yeah, I'm naked. [BEAT] Mm-hmm. Uh-huh. Mm-hmm. Oh, already? Well, good for you! Okay. Great. Okay, sweetie. Well, call me later.
----

JACK [ENTERING]: And now, ladies and gentlemen, I'd like to introduce my next guest. Celebrating his last day of summer vacation, soon to be seen in the seventh grade. Ladies and gentlemen, please help me welcome my son, Elliot!
ELLIOT [ENTERING] How you folks doing tonight? I love playing the main room. [TO JACK] Can we please stop doing this?
----

ELLIOT: How 'bout you? You need any money?
JACK [LAUGHING]: Oh, Elliot. [TO ROSARIO AND KAREN] He's crazy.
[JACK MOVES ELLIOT OUT INTO THE HALL]
JACK: Actually, I might want to get a hot dog later on.
ELLIOT: There you go. [ELLIOT GIVES JACK TWO DOLLARS.]
JACK: Okay, um... No, I just need one.
ELLIOT: Take two just in case.
JACK: You're a good son.
----

NATHAN: We date, we're straight, get used to it.
----

KAREN: Honey, you know if you want people to like you, you have to buy them things.
JACK: Karen, that is so superficial.
KAREN: Honey, why do you like me?
(PAUSE)
JACK: What do you think I should get him?
----

NATHAN: That is ridiculous. I mean, I wake up the other night, and there's a third person in bed with us. Can you imagine that?
(KAREN AND JACK JUST STARE BACK AT NATHAN.)
NATHAN: Okay, wrong question. I mean, I'm her boyfriend, and she keeps canceling on me. How would you like it if the person you were seeing kept blowing you off?
(KAREN AND JACK JUST STARE BACK.)
NATHAN: Again, wrong question.
----

JACK (WATCHING KAREN RUN OUT): Karen?
KAREN: Can't talk, feeling something!
----

JACK: Well, yeah, the kids at your school would kill for this look.
ELLIOT: That's what I'm afraid of-- I will be killed.
----

ELLIOT: I look like Ricky Martin.
JACK: So you do like it. Oh, that's a bad thing.
----

ROSARIO: What if I said I didn't want any of these things?
KAREN: I'd say you were crazy.
ROSARIO: What if I said I've just been stalling so I could spend more time with you?
KAREN: I'd say you were a lesbian.
ROSARIO: What if I said that's all I wanted for our anniversary?
KAREN: I'd say you were a crazy lesbian.
