Summary: In the middle of an OutTV meeting, Jack’s mind suddenly turns to something else. He is the only employee who doesn’t own property. On a whim, Jack buys a house in Middleborough, New York, which he believes is the "next big hot gay getaway." He takes Will to the house that, without Will's knowledge, they bought together, and Will loves it. Jack pulls out a page of Details magazine, in which Middleborough is featured. But as he reads, they realize that they bought a house in Middleborough, New York, not Middleborough, New Hampshire, which is what the magazine article raves about.

Disappointed, Will and Jack get ready to leave when a group of people from the neighborhood (whom Jack refers to as “townspeople”) come to their door. When the townspeople find out they’re gay, they don’t want Will and Jack to leave. So much, in fact, that they threaten them not to leave. Trying to convince them to stay, the townspeople throws a loaf of bread at their window (along with jam), leaves a quiche at their door and gets the high school marching band to play "We Are Family."

Will and Jack try again to leave, but the townspeople force their way into the house, holding scented candles (which Jack mistakes for torches). Will tells them that they can improve the town without their help. To prove this, Will shows them the bathroom, which he fixed up in thirty minutes. This is actually his plan of escape, as Will slams the door to the bathroom shut, keeping the townspeople in, and leaves with Jack.

Meanwhile, Grace runs into Ellen while getting some coffee. She agrees to watch Ellen's children the next day, and is really looking forward to it, and even fills her apartment with kids’ toys to ensure a fun time. In the middle of preparing for Ellen’s kids, Grace gets a call from her new client, asking to meet with her. Grace tells him that she’s busy, and Karen offers to watch the kids so Grace can get started on her new job. Grace laughs in her face, implying that Karen is a bad mother. Karen leaves infuriated.

Later, Grace arrives at her office to find Karen there. Karen is expecting an apology, but is not receiving one. Soon, Ellen enters to drop off a DVD for her son, Roman. When she is informed that Will won’t be with Grace while her kids are there, Ellen starts to have second thoughts, and says that Rob’s sister would be easier for her, implying that Grace isn’t responsible enough. Hurt, Grace leaves the office, and Karen steps in, defending Grace and saying that she is completely responsible, and that Ellen should be ashamed of herself.

Finding comfort in a martini, Karen heads to a bar. Grace comes in and sits down to talk to her, saying that Ellen apologized and told her what Karen said. She takes back what she said about Karen not being a good mother and apologizes to Karen, telling her that she’s a good stepmother to Olivia and Mason. Karen is no longer mad, and all is well once again.

Quotes
JACK: So we were having a meeting with all the executives at Out TV and I had a huge realization.
WILL: That six months ago, all of you were cater waiters?
KAREN: That six months from now, all of you will be cater waiters?
JACK: Will, you're mean. Karen, you're hilarious.

-----

JACK: I don't know what a half bath is. I think you have to pee in the sink.
KAREN: Honey, if that's true, then all of my bathrooms are half baths.
-----

WILL: Sophisticated urbanites. What a great way to say "gay"! You know, they probably wouldn't ban it if it was called "sophisticated urbanite marriage."
-----

KAREN: Hey, hey, Ellen. You should be ashamed of yourself. And not just because you're dressed like an audience member from "The Price Is Right."
ELLEN: Uh, excuse me, this is Ann Taylor LOFT.
KAREN: Yeah, and I'll bet when you [ENGLISH ACCENT] walked down the street, they all loft.
