Why wasn't Megan with Sean when he hosted SNL?
Even though Megan didn't appear onscreen, she was in New York over the weekend that Sean hosted "SNL" and was in the greenroom before the start of the show. She was seated in the audience during the show, and later joined Sean and other SNL castmembers at the weekly after-show party.

During Sean's Emmy acceptance speech at the 52nd Emmy Awards, he thanked "Frasier"'s David Hyde Pierce "single-handily nominating me last year".
At the 1999 Emmy awards, "Will & Grace" was only given one nomination for direction. The show was just beginning to get noticed and many felt that it's supporting players, Sean and Megan, had been snubbed. So when David recieved the Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series Emmy, he 'inadvertently' added Sean's name in his list of fellow nominees during his speech. He then 'cleared it up' by saying, "Oh, he wasn't nominated, well, he should have been". Sean was, at the time, sitting at home watching the Emmys and says he nearly choked on his cereal when he heard this.
