Nitpicks

| General for the series | Season 1 | Season 2 | Season 3 | Season 4 | Season 5 | Season 6 | Season 7 |

General for the series:
Why does Jack always ask Will or Grace before Karen if he needs money or wants to buy something. I mean Karen gladly gives him credit cards and money so why not ask her first? - submitted by Karen R

Season 1:
"The Unsinkable Mommy Adler": In the episode where Debbie Reynolds first appears, Will, Grace, and Debbie Reynolds go to lunch. Grace is upset because Will tells her that she needs to be the center of attention in her relationship, much like her own mother. Grace gets upset at Will and you see her putting her arms into her coat, preparing to storm out of the restaraunt. Camera pans away, then when it returns to Grace, her coat is simply draped over her shoulders as she tosses her scarf around her neck, puts on her sun glasses, and says, "I am NO star!" - submitted by Michael

Season 2:
"Election": Even though Grace lived with Will for an entire season, she never noticed his tough responsibilities as president of the tenants association.

"Das Boob": During this episode, whenever Grace isn't stacked, it's obvious that something was done to her boobs to make them appear smaller than they normally are.

"Das Boob": When Grace's boobs popped, one leak was going straight and the other one was up. However, when Will put his hands on her boobs and took them off, both leaks were at the same level. - submitted by Lily

"Homo For The Holidays": In the episode "Alley Cats", Jack tells Karen that he came out to his father and it shocked his father so much, Jack had to give him CPR. But Jack insists he isn't close to his father, so this was either a lie (which is odd, since he had no reason to lie to Karen that time) or at some point in his life, Jack came out to his father before he told his mother.

"Homo For The Holidays": Will and Grace are telling Jack that they have invited his mother for Thanksgiving dinner. At some point Grace puts her hands on Will's sholders and her nails are painted red. They, Will and Grace, follow Jack into the hallway between their apartments and eaither before Jack storms off or right after his mother appears, you can see Grace's hands and there is no red nail polish on them. - submitted by Samantha

"Girls, Interrupted": In the first episode with Val, "Grace, Replaced", Val says she just moved into apartment 15F. Yet in this episode, when Will and Grace sneak into Val's apartment, the door says 12E.

Season 3:
"Love Plus One": When Will and Grace enter Grace Adler Designs, Karen is talking to Grace's ex boyfriend, Nicholas. Will is holding a pizza box. He sets the pizza box down on Grace's desk and takes a slice out. Around the time where he makes the quote: "That would make you his layover" He is holding the pizza in his right hand. The camera angle changes and it's in his left. It also loses some of it's toppings even thought you don't see him eat it. - submitted by Helen C.

"Love Plus One": Also, the first scene in the Banana Rebublic includes Karen and Jack talking to each other about going out. Jack is seen taking a neatly folder blue sweater from its pile, unfolding it, and then folds it back up again and puts it back on the pile. - submitted by Helen C.

"Gypsies, Tramps, and Weed": When Grace walks into her office and trips over her bag, about two seconds later, the bag appears picked up and leaning up against the table.

"Lows In The Mid-Eighties": When the party begins Duran Duran's "Union of the Snake" is playing in the background. This song was released in 1983. Yet when Karen is in the club Power Station's (a spin off band of Duran) "Some Like it Hot" is playing. This song is from 1985. They also say that it has been 15 years since they met. So "Union of the Snake" would not have been playing unless it was a record. - submitted by Barbara

"Lows In The Mid-Eighties": When Will remembers telling his parents that he was gay, we see the image of a car skidding into a pole. But in "Oh Dad, Poor Dad, He's Kept Me In The Closet And I'm So Sad", Will's dad says that Will told him that he was gay in the living room at home.

"Lows In The Mid-Eighties": The Thanksgiving decorations in the shop window at the end of the show don't move an inch, despite the time change from 2000 to 1985.

"Three's a Crowd, Six Is A Freak Show": In the brief bit we see of Mark's feet, he doesn't have six toes on either foot.

"Coffee & Commitment": When Grace winds the window down the get the cigarette off her "present" for Joe and Larry, her hair doesn't move at all, and she pretty much put half her head out the window. - submitted by Ceara

"Swimming Pools...Movie Stars": In the scene where Karen's at the pool holding a bloody mary and then she takes a bite of the celery and throws it in the pool. However, in the next shot, the celery's back in her glass.

"Crazy in Love": It shows that Will sucks and knows practically nothing about basketball, but recall this line from the episode "Seeds of Discontent":
WILL: I didn't know myself 'til sophomore year. I was playing basketball, and, uh, Jay Barr and I went up for a rebound. Our stomachs touched, and, by the time I came down, I was gay.
Believe me, if he actually went up for a rebound, he must know something about this game. - submitted by Luke

"An Old-Fashioned Piano Party": In "Home Court Disadvantage" Will says he thanked his mother "with 30 perfect piano recitals, and long letters from government leadership council."
However in "An Old-Fashioned Piano Party", Grace comments that Will what a good piano player Will has become in just four or five days.
Additionally, later as Will tries to console Grace by singing "Love Will Keep Us Together", he also plays the accompanying piano for this.
So, what's the real deal? Can Will play the piano or not? Sure, this is 3 seasons later and who's keeping track? But, it is the same show with the same charcters and WE, devoted W&G fans, are keeping track! Furthermore, why didn’t Grace play the piano? Why was it up to Will to (learn how to) play the piano they bought? What about Grace?
According to her in the "An Old-Fashioned Piano Party", Grace says, "In my family, no matter how far away we got from each other or how much we fought, the piano always brought us back together again."
True, this doesn’t necessarily mean that Grace knew how to play it, perhaps it was her mother, or even better, Julius, but why is Will the focus if Grace is the one with the experience? Grace’s exposure to the piano seems to justify her desire to get one to keep Will and her together as it was central in her family, but the only thing Grace played was the creepy-thought-to-be-cute “I will miss you” and not very well either.
So, there’s my detailed take on the W&G piano mystery. Though I think the whole cast is musically gifted, all seem to be great singers at least, even Grace who they seem to poke fun at, this piano thing seems to stick out! - submitted by Heather

Season 4:
"Someone Old, Someplace New": When Karen is rumaging through her purse in the scene at the bar, one minute there is nothing on the table, and the next there are several items from her purse on the table. This is actually due to a part of the scene that was cut where Karen pulled out an assortment of different things from her purse.

"Cheatin' Trouble Blues":
Grace's reaction and teasing of Michelle Kwan in this episode greatly differs from her reaction in season one's "Will On Ice", where she claimed to "Love her! Love, love, love her!"

"Wedding Balls": Will's cousin, Allison is getting married and because she is sick, her fiance, Bob goes to New York to plan the wedding. Yet when Will is telling either Grace or Jack about it, he says that Allison's husband is coming instead of her fiance. - submitted by JiMMyfaLSgAL

Season 5:
"Women and Children First": When Ellen and Julie are talking about their husbands jobs, Grace walks over and is standing inbetween them, Karen walks in a second later and Grace is at the counter. I think it was an editing error....just my thoughts. - submitted by Jodi

Season 6:
"A-Story, Bee-Story": Jack actually spells Christina Aguilera's "Dirrty" incorrectly as D-I-R-R-R-T-Y. There are only 2 R's.

"A Gay/December Romance": The name of the restaurant Grace tries to boycott changes from "Happy Noodle" to "Happy Noodles" throughout the episode.

Season 7:
"Queens For A Day": In "No Sex and the City", Vince says he has four brothers, but no mention of a sister. In this episode, he has a sister, but no mention of any brothers.

"Bully Woolley": When Scott first walks into Grace's office, he shuts the door behind him. A few shots later, it's open again.

"The Blonde Leading the Blind": In this episode, there is a subplot in which we saw that Karen's eyesight was going. She needed glasses, but was afraid to wear them, because that would make her admit she was getting older (Karen must be close to 50 by now). However, at the end, she realized that she was being silly and began wearing her new glasses.
Anyway, the next episode, no glasses and everything is just fine! Now, it is possible that Karen got contacts or laser eye surgery when we weren't looking (laser eye surgery is expensive, but Karen could afford it). However, I think that some mention of this should have been made. Just a couple of throwaway lines like:
Grace: Hey, Karen, why aren't you wearing your glasses?
Karen: Oh, I got contacts.
I know for a fact that Megan wears glasses and contacts herself. I wonder if she suggested this idea for Karen.
So, I guess it could be a nitpick or not, depending on how you look at it. - submitted by Tim
