On Friday, 17 September 1999, Greg Wood and I hiked up Mount Whitney, the highest point in the western United States.
It is located 13 miles outside of Lone Pine, California, off the 395 highway.
We completed the hike to the top and back in 13 hours and 47 minutes.
It was an experience that we will always remember, and probably never repeat!
