I can understand your feelings. I too lost a daughter, Julie, the light of my life. My Julie was murdered, by a "family friend" a man we had known for about 8 years. I lost my Julie in January 1999, she was 27. The trial is over and the man was convicted f capital murder, sentenced to life without parole but it still doesn't bring back my Julie.

This is a beautiful memorial to your daughter. I have a teacher friend who's teen-age daughter was killed in a car accident on her way to a cheerleaders fund raiser. He mother was in the car behind her & saw the accident. She was riding in the back seat of a friend's car. Like your daughter, she was ve y popular and a good person. As you know, her family has been devastated. I plan to send this to her. Maybe it will help her parents and older sister.

I graduated with the Kaneland class of 1992. I found your site through the Kaneland Knights page. I am sorry to say I never knew Jenni. But I now feel very drawn to her after spending the last hour in your beautiful site! What a wonderful daughter you must have had! It sounds like Jenni was the type of friend that everyone wishes they had. I'm deeply sorry for your loss. I now live in Wisconsin with my husband and children, but plan to travel back to Illinois in July. Could you please tell me which cemetary Jenni was buried in? I'd love to have the opportunity to visit her grave site. I'm pretty farmiliar with many of the cemetaries around there, since my parents used to mow them when the ran a lawn care business down there. You mentioned that Je ni's childhood dream was to one day be famous. I get a decent amount of traffic through my website, and plan to add her link to my site as a tribute to her. I usually go up to Jen's grave on Sunday nights, but yesterday was an exception. Like every other weekend, I pulled into the cemetery, someone had taken my job, by lightening all the candles. I re-lit some and just stayed there for a while remembering t ings and crying. She was a truly great person, and everyone loves and misses her. Its true because candles are always lit in the evening keeping her spirit alive
